Tally Hall is an American pop rock band formed in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in December 2002. The band's line-up consists of guitarist Rob Cantor, bassist Zubin Sedghi, keyboardist Andrew Horowitz, and drummer Ross Federman. The band is known for its eclectic musical style, extensive use of vocal harmonies, and matching outfits featuring white button up shirts, colored neckties, and from 2008 to 2011, black vests. The members originally described their musical style as "wonky rock", later redefining their sound as "fabloo" ( fə-BLOO), to not let any particular genres define their music after critics began defining the characteristics of "wonky rock". After releasing various demo EPs, the band signed with indie label Quack! Media to release their debut studio album, Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum on October 24, 2005. In March 2007, the band signed with major label Atlantic Records, partially rerecording and rereleasing their debut album on April 1, 2008, alongside a web series called Tally Hall's Internet Show to promote it. In 2009, the band recorded their second album, Good & Evil, whose release was delayed by two years due to their relationship with Atlantic falling apart. The band returned to Quack! Media and finally released Good & Evil on June 21, 2011. After a tour to promote the album, the band went on a hiatus that lasted 15 years, during which the members all pursued various interests, music related or otherwise. In 2026, after a month long social media campaign, the band officially announced their reunion.
